Part of our mission as a company is to promote equity, tolerance and understanding. We believe that access to knowledge is essential to ending the ignorance of the past and to bringing about a more just world. This includes having access to and an understanding of people of different cultures, different religions and even different political ideologies. We believe that when one sees the beauty the world has to offer in the form of other people, it becomes impossible to dismiss, to judge and to persecute others who are different from ourselves. When we see people as people, regardless of their religion, their appearance and their perspectives, our willingness to indulge in hate and intolerance simply disappears.
The events in Wisconsin remind us all that we have much, much more work to be done to ensure that the rights of all people are honored. For the second time in a span of a few weeks, we as a nation have experienced a senseless tragedy rooted in the simple disregard for the lives of others. We can do better. We must do better!
We wish to send our condolences to the friends and family members of those lost in this weekend’s tragedy and our prayers that other such tragedies are avoided in the future.

Our only thought on the Jerry Sandusky case is that justice has not yet been fully served. Sandusky, vile as he is, had help from enablers at his local charity and at Penn State University. Were it not for their complicity in covering up Sandusky’s crimes, a number of the victims in this case would never have known the horrors of sexual assault. These enablers need to be held to account for their crimes and for their failure to act in the best interest of the children they were charged to protect.
As world renowned therapist Cloe Madanes states often, sexual assault is not only an assault on the body, it is an assault on the spirit. We hope that all of Sandusky’s victims, those who have come forward and those who have not, will find peace in knowing that there is justice in the world and that he will never be in a position to harm any child ever again.
